The STAGO-SIMUL project
The STAGO-SIMUL project seeks to develop a model for in virtuo hemostasis experimentation. The project is part of the complex systems thematic, which aims to recreate complex phenomena in virtual reality (in this case blood clotting).
The challenge comes from the high number of factors involved in hemostasis (Brownian motion, catalysis, unimolecular reactions, bimolecular interactions or enzymatic reactions, …). All these phenomena, entities and interactions must be taken into account when designing a simulation of what occurs in vitro or in vivo (in the case of a virtual blood vessel simulating blood flow).
